  • The moment you have been waiting for! The Riverstone Rockfest 2013 will be most entertaining event this year! With seven hot local musical acts plus the amazing band Pasadena as the headliner, you will get your ears blown! So be prepared to rock out on August 17th.

    All profits will go to various charities that The Riverstone Project supports including our FREE IT education program, helping displaced children, feeding the homeless, buying toys and clothes for children in need, and more!

    So come enjoy yourself and help support a great cause at the same time! Tickets are $5 at the door.

    Bands playing include:

    The Day We Met
    Profile: An alternative rock band influenced by bands such The Early November and Dashboard Confessional. Originally formed with an emphasis on electric guitars and a harder sound, the band has since decided to put more focus on their roots in acoustic rock.

    Sara Haile-Mariam
    Sara Haile-Mariam is a singer-songwriting whose music comprises a mix of detailed narratives, gentle chord progressions and sweet vocals. Inspired by a string of folk, Motown and rock musicians — this prolific songwriter’s portfolio is being developed in real time on Tumblr. Originally from Ethiopia, and a graduate of New York University — she can be found performing around the DC area.

    Claim the Krown
    Claim the Krown is one of the promising new bands recently to emerge from the Northern Virginia Area. Recently formed in February 2013, there is a buzz already forming about the 4 member band which consists of Mike Ridley on guitars, Cory Russ on drums, “Kritter” on Bass, and Ed Daza on vocals. The contagious raw energy of the band helps define them and plays a big part in the driving force that fuels their performances; leaving new fans talking. With a focus on Rock and funk, Claim the Krown successfully interprets such bands as Sound Garden, Chevelle, Alice in Chains and manages to equally match these groups with their own hard hitting originals. All the members are seasoned musicians with more than 13 years of experience playing in the DC metropolitan area and the surrounding eastern shore.

    The Good For Nothings
    The Good For Nothings are an up and coming band in the Arlington/Alexandria area. They are an indie rock band that plays original material. Their music is inspired by bands such as Weezer, The Cure, the Strokes, and Incubus. They aspire to add a jewel to the Rock and Roll Crown of History. The band features Tom Ferraiuolo on guitar and vocals, Darrel Gibbons on bass and vocals, David Hill on guitar, and Diego Turcios-Saldana on drums/percussion.

    Back Yard Fence
    Backyard Fence is a rock band from Alexandria, Virginia. Oliver Hignett on guitar and vocals, Andy Currie on bass and vocals, Andy Howell on drums. Backyard Fence was originally a solo electro-rock project by Oliver Hignett back in 2009, and in 2012 evolved into a three-piece rock band. The band has built up a catalogue of about 10 original tunes with a focus on heavy rock riffs and technical instrumentation.

    Stella Mori
    Stella Mori is a Hard Rock/Melodic Metal band out of Sterling, VA with catchy, dynamic hooks blended over heavy rhythms and intense vocals.
